Thanks for your interest in NFFTY 2017! NFFTY is the world’s largest and most influential film festival for emerging filmmakers age 24 and under. Now entering its 11th year, the festival offers a jam-packed four days filled with films, great speakers, parties and more and our first ever foray into 360° with an accompanying gallery, panel and workshop!
We continue to be acknowledged as leaders in our industry — twice awarded the One of the 50 Best Fests Worth the Entry Fee by MovieMaker Magazine (2016, 2014). We work very hard to make this festival a meaningful and educational experience for all of our filmmakers and visiting students!
For information on festival events, panels, screenings, and more, here's our Attending Educators Guide.
NFFTY EDUCATIONAL OFFERINGS
Whether or not your students have a film at NFFTY, student group field trips are highly encouraged due to the educational experience that the festival can provide. Every year we bring out industry professionals that connect and speak to students and festival-goers. This year, we're thrilled to offer special conversations with world-renowed filmmakers: Wikke & Rasmussen, Danish filmmakers who will be discussing their 30+ year careers in comedy; and Chris Moore, producer of Good Will Hunting, Manchester by the Sea and the American Pie series.
For the third year, we’ll be hosting a Works In Progress screening which is a unique opportunity for filmmakers to screen unfinished projects and receive constructive feedback from a panel of industry professionals.
Fridays and Saturdays are generally filled with screenings and panel discussions/workshops by industry professionals. Each screening event at NFFTY is followed by a panel discussion with filmmakers in attendance. About 80% of our filmmakers travel to NFFTY each year, which makes a strong presence at these panel discussions.
- We offer exceptional pricing for groups of 10 or more at NFFTY. Group pricing starts at $23 for Single Day Passes, $55 for Three Day Passes and $67 for 3 Days + Opening Night.
- It is highly suggested that tickets are purchased before traveling to the festival, as most of the festival events and screenings tend to sell out.
- Tickets are currently on sale.
